The present study employed a correlational design to test the relationship between the measured variables of; acceptance of illness, coping strategies and gender, among a clinical sample of People with Cystic Fibrosis (PWCF) (n = 10 males and n = 10 females), who participated voluntarily. The results indicated significant weak positive correlations between; acceptance of illness and seeking instrumental support (tau_b = 0.019, p<0.05, 1-tailed), acceptance of illness and positive reinterpretation & growth (tau_b = 0.044, p<0.05, 1-tailed), acceptance of illness and acceptance (tau_b = 0.022, p<0.05, 1-tailed) and acceptance of illness and age (tau_b = 0.022, p<0.05, 1-tailed). Additionally an independent samples design was employed to test for differences in the dependent variables of acceptance of illness and coping strategies and the independent variable of gender. The results indicated that significantly men showed more acceptance of illness than women (Z=-3.119, p<0.05, 1-tailed).en
