dc.description.abstractThe aim of this dissertation is to 'investigate the role of organisational mentors in employee career development'. This research has become necessary at this time given the recent digression from the traditional career development to the boundary-less careers which have become transitional and flexible. Methodology approach: A deductive approach style of survey was employed for this research, and it was based on the staff of Fidelity Bank Plc, Lagos Nigerian. Primary data were collected through survey involving questionnaires was used to gather the primary data. Findings / Conclusion: This chapter is based on all the findings of this research. Here, the researcher answers the initial research question and addresses the objectives and hypothesis by summarising the findings in relation to the objectives and hypothesis. A number of recommendations supported by the results obtained are also proposed. Originality / Value: This dissertation research will provide a guide for managers especially the HR in the industry on how to manage the career development of employees, individual career development plan and the influence mentors will have on career development.en
