Through this dissertation the author will be analyzing the Chinese tourist market in relation to those coming to Ireland and finding out what are the attractions of Ireland for the Chinese tourist. The author hopes that the information that he will collect will be of help to Irish tour operators in their efforts to try and understand the Chinese outbound tour market better, especially in relation to the culture factor, for example: Tour groups made up of Chinese families, friends and relations will be the main part of private groups to visit Ireland in the future. The author is going to identify the important factors for the Irish tour operators for them to enter the Chinese market and pointing out the benefits of coming to Ireland for the Chinese tourist. Then finally carrying out this resolution and giving advice to the Irish tour operators about entering the Chinese tour market. In this dissertation, the researcher will implement primary research and secondary research together in order to acquire the most relevant information.
