    Abstract
This study was carried out to determine if there is a lack of self-awareness between commercial pilots and their individual fatigue and stress levels which impact on their health and the safety of the operation. Three questionnaires were used to establish perceived stress, significant other support and excess daytime sleepiness. One hundred and twenty six commercial pilots completed the questionnaires through a confidential survey website - www.surveymonkey.com. There was significance found in one hypoFinal Year Project and none found in the remaining two hypotheses. The outcome of the study showed no excess daytime sleepiness caused by stress or significant other support. There were some interesting finds in relation to a need for more support shown by high ideal support scores.
