The following report has been carried out on 'organisational impact of Internet banking'
and involves informative analysis concerning the impact this new channel of banking
will have on its stakeholders. The aim of this report is to understand and set out the concerns of both the bank and its stakeholders whilst incorporating this new system. Many articles, reports and books have been written on this subject, from which I was able to highlight the main areas of concern and benefit. From this information a questionnaire was complied and structured
interviews were carried out in order to obtain relevant opinions from connected persons
on these findings. During this report, I have highlighted the historical foundations of both the internet and the Irish banks (see Section 2), while acknowledging the banks appreciation and the
direction they are taking in-order to compete successfully in this new arena (see Section
3). I carried out primary research to support the various views I encountered during my
research (see Section 4). Overall the response was quiet positive, however there was
evidence of the need to improve their basic websites. The outcome of all sections will be
concluded, which will contain the main findings (see section 5). In the final section I
have put forward recommendations for future actives in financial institutions which
became apparent during me investigation (see section 6).
