    Abstract
    This project involves the research of the technology involved, and the applications that can be developed for both 3rd generation mobile phone and 2.5G (General Packet Radio Service (GPRS)).It also covers many of the services that 3G will implement such as Multimedia sending. It also involve tracking the take up of 3G in Japan plus introduction of GPRS into Europe. The report not only concentrates on the 3G network but also looks at 4G.
