This experiment tests whether positive feedback and coaching effect athlete's self-efficacy and positive affect The following factors related to fitness test performance were also investigated: self-efficacy for fitness, general self-efficacy, sports-specific self-efficacy, positive affect, general fitness scale, previous performance, and perceived exertion. Adolescents (N=68) were divided into 3 groups: control group, positive feedback group, positive feedback and coaching group. Results found that the three groups did not differ significantly on self-efficacy for fitness or positive affect following a fitness test. However, it was found that self-efficacy for fitness, general self-efficacy, positive affect, general fitness scale score, and previous performance were related to fitness test performance. As a result, such factors must be taken into consideration by those involved in sport.en
