This thesis is concerned mainly with the delivery strategies for broadband technologies within Ireland. Through the course of the document I have analyses information on an Industry level, a Service Provider level and a Customer level in order to gain an understanding of the current level of availability of such services in Ireland. Due to the lack of academic material on this topic the main focus of my secondary research was built around Industry documents and guidelines by bodies such as the ODTR, IBEC and Forfas as well as examining some government policies such as the National Development Plan. My Primary research is an Availability Matrix of Broadband Services in Ireland. This matrix was built around a sample of 60 potential broadband customers and 5 broadband service providers. Through my conclusions and recommendations I have identified the unbundling of the local loop as a key area that could contribute to the further development, and enhancement, of the availability of Broadband Services in Ireland.
