dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the current research is to understand the Portuguese migrant adaption into the Irish society. It aims to understand the relationship and correlation of such adaption with the levels of self-esteem, satisfaction with life and happiness. Another objective is to introduce the Portuguese community in Ireland which is still to be analysed in academic works. The data collection occurred through an online questionnaire that was cascaded into the population by word of mouth or social media (Facebook). The sample was non-probabilistic by convenience or snowball. Following the survey, 111 immigrants, that participated voluntarily, Portuguese, over 18 and that reside in Ireland constituted our sample. The most observable results are the existence of correlations and relationships between the levels of adaptation with self-esteem, satisfaction with life and happiness. Overall the more adapted the participants are to Ireland the greater is their levels of Self-esteem, satisfaction with life and Happiness. Author keywords:en
