Abstract
Computer technology is progressively becoming a part of everyday life in the 21 st Century. The sudden increase in the development of Internet communication is opening up a new dimension in human experience. The Internet is of practical interest where psychoanalysis is concerned, as not only is it a focal point for unconscious mental processes, it may well also be the forum in which to conduct psychoanalysis in the future. Psychoanalysis can benefit in terms of theory pertaining to the group and indeed, the subject, as the psychopathologies of everyday life, and indeed neurotic life, are patently manifest on the Internet in communications. The time has come to embrace and adapt to the computer culture, before psychoanalysis gets left behind in the dust.
