dc.description.abstract | This study explores the effects art therapy and art related activities have on
life satisfaction in relation to a mental health disabilities and control group, over a
time period. The control group, mature part time students (n=65) and disability
group, community-based disability participants (n=35) completed a survey
including demographic questions and a questionnaire Satisfaction with Life Scale
(SWLS). Statistical analysis reveals that there was no significant interaction
between the art variables but significant difference was found relating to the time
period. Conclusions about the results must be taken with caution due to the small
obscure sample size. The results were also further analysed in relation to other
variables, which are discussed along with suggestions for further research in this
area. | en |
