dc.description.abstractThis study investigated body dissatisfaction, self-esteem, disordered eating and attachment style among female and males college students. The sample consisted 50 females and 47 male's college students (mean age of 21). Participants filled out the Rosenberg self-esteem scale, the Body-Esteem scale, the eating attitudes (EAT23) and Bartholomew's Relationship Questionnaire. Results show that self -esteem is positively correlated to sexual attractiveness and weight concern but not physical condition. For males self-esteem is positively correlated with upper-body strength and no relationship to physical condition of physical attractiveness. For females eating attitudes was negatively correlated with sexual attractiveness and weight concern not for physical condition. For males there was no relationship between eating attitudes and body-esteem. There was no relationship between attachment styles and body esteem for both genders.en
