    Abstract
The study, a feasibility study seeks to rationalise a maverick idea, a dream, first conceived whilst reading a newspaper article in January 1995. General business theory, marketing, economics, organisational behaviour and accounting are coupled with the practical use of primary and secondary research throughout the report. Imagination too is used to expand on the original vision, to form a feasibility study on the business potential of a gymnasium facility, to be established within an inner city office block for the use of the business community only. The study therefore does not seek to present definitive evidence on the businesses possible success or failure but merely, as was said above, to clarify and rationalise a new idea and point towards the future of such a hypothetical concept. The seven p's of services marketing, product, place, promotion, physical evidence, process, price and people form Part I of the study as the business is described in real applicable terms. Economics theory states that profit equals price multiplied by quantity. In order to access future profit potential, and hence the feasibility of the gymnasium, Part Il is devoted to the assessment of demand (quantity) - from a theoretical viewpoint through the analysis of organisational behaviour topics motivation, stress, group dynamics, turnover and absenteeism. Part III is concerned with costing (price) from both a profit and cash point of view.
