    Abstract
The aim of this research was to investigate the experience that students have of bullying in a primary school in Kildare, and to identify if there are relationships between bullying behaviours, quality of friendships and quality of life which was examined on five different dimensions; physical activities and health, general mood and feelings about self, family and free time, friends and school and learning. This was a between-subject quantitative cross sectional study containing a sample of 76 students aged between 9-12 years. The constructs were measured on the following questionnaires; The Olweus Questionnaire on Bullying for Students, (1996) Mc Gill Friendship Questionnaire-Friendship Functions (1999) and the KIDSCREEN- 27 (2006). Results indicate that a minority of students are affected by bullying behaviours, primarily exclusion and rejection by peers. Implications of the findings of this research study are discussed and outlined and are interpreted in line with previous research and associated findings. Author keywords: Bullying
