dc.description.abstractAlthough it is widely recognised that there are issue when discussing cause and effect potential with youth interventions and prevention programmes. Current developmental research has a growing interest in school based mental health interventions (WHO, 2016). The purpose of the study is to examine the relationship between resilience (Smith et al, 2008) and psychological sense of school membership (PSSM) (Goodewon, 1993), general self-efficacy (GSE) (Sherer et al, 1982) and emotional self-efficacy (ESE) (Muris 2001) of secondary school students (N=116) as indicators of good mental health. As such factors, which have been shown to foster resilience in adolescents research and are indications of positive mental health. By examining PSSM, GSE and ESE within a school environment provides reference for identification of potential avenues and benefits of resilience interventions from a practically.en
