The aim of this study is to investigate any possible relationships between college students’ music preference and their perceived stress levels, gender and extraversion levels. The sample consisted of 101 college students (Male=51, Female=50) between the ages of 18-25 years old. The college students completed an online survey through Google forms which were comprised of three questionnaires: Short Test Of Music Preference, Perceived Stress Scale and the Ten Item Personality Inventory. The students’ age and gender were also identified through demographic questions in the survey. Pearson correlation coefficient and T-tests were run to identify any correlations or associations between the variables. Results indicated that there were no significant relationships between the variables, although women college students were seen to have higher levels of perceived stress than men.en
