dc.description.abstractThe research investigates the extent of alignment of Performance Management System and Strategic Business Objectives In 3 and 4 Star Irish Hotels. The essence of the study looked in details at the current state of the Irish Hospitality industry, and the need to address the issues that could mitigate on the delivery of business objectives. In pursuance to this objective, the literature review looked at the rationale for implementing a PMS system in the first places. It takes a look at the process of implementing PMS and the Benefits it protends in terms of value creation. The medothology chapter defined the design , strategy and approach the study will adopet. It also discussed the primary data collection technique which was through interviews conducted with HRMs and Managers. The findings and analysis chapter detailed the result arrived at from the interviews conducted. It suggested that PMS and strategic business objectives in Irish 3 and 4 star hotels were largely aligned. The conclusion outlined the key areas of PMS to focus on to maximise jthe benefits of the alignment in efforts to attain value creation.en
