    Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine the differences in quality of school life and fear of negative evaluation between those who attended a single-sex school and those who attended a coeducational school. Sex differences across the variables were also analysed. A quantitative quasi-experiment with a between-groups design was used. Participants consisted on 65 individuals, 19 of whom were males and 46 females, all over the age of 18 who had completed the leaving certificate a maximum of 18 months ago. The questionnaire consisted of the quality of school life scale and the brief fear of negative evaluation scale. The questionnaire was posted on social media with a desired snowball effect. Results found no significant differences across the variables, however it was concluded that a larger sample size is needed for future research.
