    Abstract
    The current mixed methods study aimed at exploring differences in JSWB amongst SE and DE workers in creative and corporate workplaces. A descriptive research method using cross sectional, non probability purposive sampling was used for the quantitative element. For qualitative, an open ended question was posed regarding respondents relationship with their work. A self report digital questionnaire was used for data collection and respondents (N= were sourced globally. Analyses showed; ( a significant difference in JSWB between total SE and DE workers, ( no significant difference in JSWB between SE workers based on supervisory responsibility, ( a significant difference in JSWB between DE workers based on supervisory responsibility, and ( no significant difference in JSWB between SE workers based on necessity and opportunity sel f employment. Results both supported and countered existing research. Overall findings showed that both self employed and directly employed workers in the current sample were dissatisfied with daily work.
