    Abstract
    The focus of this thesis paper is laid on the awareness and adaptation of cloud services by IT academics in India. In addition, the paper will also highlight the benefits of using cloud computing services in educational institutions. Moreover, the challenges for adopting the cloud computing services Indian universities will also be illustrated in this paper. The researcher will also conduct qualitative and quantitative research methods through which the opinion of students and lecturers of Indian Universities about the adoption of cloud computing. On the other hand, the vendor who provides cloud computing services will also be highlighted in this paper. This research also discuss about utilization of cloud computing technology particularly in the educational institutions where computer technology are progressively used and what should be possible to expand the advantages of normal services for students and staffs. The scope of awareness in the subject of cloud services among the academics of the Indian universities has been clearly reflected through the data obtained from the current research. The results of the study have been somewhat positive in the sense that it shows that academics of the Indian universities are indeed aware of the cloud-based applications as far as serving educational purposes is concerned.
