Abstract
The study aims to contribute to the body of knowledge relating to how Project Managers address
issues that can arise due to the presence of a multicultural workforce. The research examines
information gathered from a group of 6 diverse Project Managers who work in the healthcare
sector through a qualitative design by using semi-structured interviews. A thematic analysis of
these interviews shows that Project Managers implement a variety of methods such as setting
clearly defined roles & responsibilities within the team, establishing trust, maintaining clear lines
of communication & being able to adapt their styles of leadership as they see fit. The data also
suggests that there is no one tool, theory or training that Project Managers utilize, but rather the
skills they use to address these issues are developed from experience.
