Abstract
In 2017, Library staff from Irish private higher education colleges that are members of the Higher Education Colleges Association (HECA) participated in a pilot initiated by the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning. The pilot was of six months duration. Pilot members were required to track their professional development activity mapping it to the National Forum's Professional Development Framework as outlined in the Forum's report: National Professional Development Framework for all Staff Who Teach in Higher Education which was published in 2016. This presentation was delivered by the Pilot Coordinator Marie O' Neill at the National Forum's Pilots' Day in the Mansion House, Dublin. The presentation describes in detail the HECA Librarian pilot of the Professional Development Framework and its impact.
