dc.description.abstractIrish business environment is taking a new leap with introduction of policies and vision of the current political structure. Emphasis of the Government is towards making a technology driven community. Newer reforms do promise to put Ireland in a trajectory of high growth within the Europe. The speed of change and ambitious jobs in the business scenario also test the companies to bring business results faster and, in less time, compared to previously which took them decades time. As the business opportunity is huge, companies are reinforcing their strategies to bring about viable business growth. Compliance is undergoing a rapid change driven by multitude of factors. Compliance on data security and privacy have changed and will continue to change to protect and defend interest of various stakeholders. It is crucial for companies to develop a deep understanding of the regulations and impact on their business. Proactively embedding a culture of compliance and implanting it in the attitude of the company will be a priority for companies going forward. There is a constant need for compliance to transform to modern style of working and to grow along with the business and become as a strategic advisor to the business. Transformation can be possible by leveraging the modern technology and systems. Hence this thesis has taken inputs from multiple compliance executives and consolidated their views and opinions on technology is playing role in achieving regulatory compliance.en
