Aims include finding a correlation between handshaking characteristics, personality and aggression plus a difference in how males and females score. NEO Five Factor Inventory and The Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire were used. A handshake rating scale was used to score the handshakes. The design of this research was a between subjects, mixed design of experimental and social survey methodology. 80 students completed the questionnaire booklet in class and their handshakes were assessed by the experimenter. A Spearman's rho correlation found a relationship between temperature and extraversion, physical aggression and strength, as well as relationships between personality and aggression. Men had higher scores of aggression, while women scored higher on personality. Implications may be had on impression management.en
