Abstract

This paper is an MBA in project management dissertation, researching on how to design and drive effective strategic implementation of agile solutions in HR Program & Operations for the innovation in HR shared services. Mateo G.G., the DBS researcher, is an HR program and operations analyst in Accenture, a leading global professional services company. The researcher provides a broad range of HR services and solutions in HR Shared Services (HRSS) for Accenture clients. The research aim is on the innovation of HR operations with agile solutions to speed process improvements and automation in global organizations. The researcher aims to bring an outsourcing perspective to the research design. When designing the strategy to implement agile solutions for innovation, the researcher aims to drive client value by moving fast and applying the new now. Based on an academical literature review in HRSS model and trends, the goal of the researcher design is to evaluate the implications of implementing an agile framework or methodology in a global professional HRSS ecosystem to achieve automated services. The embedded research methodology has a combination of qualitative methods (focus and depth interviews) and quantitative methods (surveys). The dissertation results show statistics on the acceptance of agile values, principles, and practices. Results also show the need of education in agile practices within the HRSS professionals.
