Abstract

This paper explores the experience of implementing a 10 week program of Mindful Meditation Practice in the classroom at an Irish higher education institution, Dublin Business School. The focus of the program was based on simplicity of implementation, minimal disruption, student engagement with the practice and any positive effects this may bring to Students. The effectiveness of the practice was measured quantitatively after week eight and the results were extremely favourable based on key points such as mindfulness effect on concentration, mindfulness effect on focus in the classroom, mindfulness effect on positive attitude toward the learning experience and mindfulness effect on student relaxation and enjoyment of the experience
