The study investigates how Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) affect worker productivity and happiness in Sri Lanka's tourist sector. To investigate the relationship between ESOPs and employee outcomes, quantitative analysis using the KMO test, Cronbach's alpha, descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analysis was carried out using a sample of 190 participants from the tourism sector. The results show that ESOPs have a considerable beneficial influence on worker happiness and productivity, which is consistent with previous research on ESOPs in a variety of organizational settings. It also examines the various effects on employee outcomes of participation rate, ownership stake, stock price increase, pay level, and retirement preparation. In light of Sri Lanka's tourism business, the results provide insightful information about the ability of ESOPs and related elements to influence employee performance and well-being, even if they acknowledge certain limitations, such as a smaller sample size and an industry-specific focus. Our findings provide a thorough grasp of the ways in which ownership programs and associated components affect employee dynamics and have consequences for organizational strategy and regulatory frameworks.
