Abstract

This book captures various musical instruments in differing environments, ones which reflect their natural resources from which they were produced. Acoustic hand-made guitars and drumsticks are photographed in compositions with natural elements such as trees and foilage; the electric instruments photographed against a backdrop of industry and man-made structures such as factories and industrial areas. Music and nature are intertwined to manufacture products which are used in both mainstream big business for professional musicians, as well on a smaller scale for the amateur musician, the nature of their production and use of natural resources often reflects this duality.
