Abstract

The objective of this thesis is to illustrate and provide a good overview of Dubai e-government concept. It strives to cover aspects concerning how e-government initiative will enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of government and alter its relationship with the public. In addition, the project focuses on some public and private sectors that implemented the imitative and offers services online. Moreover, the project examines how e-government portal attempts to build a modem economy based on energizing the e-commerce sector in Dubai. Finally, the project encloses senior people's opinion regarding e-government strategy. The primary value-added of this project is its analysis and typology of the various stages and dimensions of e-government. This conceptual breakdown helps achieve a better comprehension of the phenomenon and the means to capitalize on IT opportunities for better government and governance, particularly in Dubai.
