Abstract

As the Internet is being used more widely, it is up to the Web Developer to ensure that all Web pages are accessible to all users, including users with disabilities. As there is an increase in Web sites published today, Web Developers are not taking into consideration individuals with disabilities, even though the technology is widely available to them. The following dissertation will explain the need for accessible Websites. The main aim of this paper is to show how to create Accessible Web Pages using various techniques including HTML, DHTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). The assistive technologies available today will also be explained.
