Abstract

The aim of this qualitative research was to investigate the factor, challenge facing, method overcome challenge and feelings of both gender of transvestites. A total of 5 transvestites (3 female and 2 male) had been participate in the study. A semi-structured interviews which consisted 10 questions had been conducted. All the data collected had been analysis by Nvivo 12 by using the inductive approach. The key variables has been finalise by mapping into 4 mains themes by using the thematic analysis. The 4 main theme which contain nature of factor, challenge facing, method to overcome and feelings of the transvestites. Female transvestite stated that the environment factor and gender discrimination were the main factor while the male transvestite reported the personal factor with trigger point were the main influence. Female transvestite had report did not receive challenge, while the male transvestites reported receiving verbal and physical discriminations.
