Abstract
Business intelligence technology is basically a reporting tool for making better decisions by considering huge data analysis. As every business for competitive advantage considering their data for analysis, BI technology is in more demand these days. The Irish supermarkets are currently not using any BI tools as such for reporting and making proper business decisions and this research mainly focus on finding how BI tools will create value in Irish supermarkets. The main advantage of this research is finding the importance of business intelligence technology for Irish supermarkets. As in Ireland, the retail sector comes on the second number in terms of revenue generation after the finance industry and because of that researcher considered retail industry - supermarkets for the research. Consider the sources of literature review which are agreed on the benefits of the business intelligence in the supermarkets. Qualitative method is used for caring out this research and the data collected which shows the current scenario in the Irish supermarkets. This research mainly helps for finding the benefits of the business intelligence technology for the Irish supermarkets if they implement the full scope BI tools. This research will help the Irish supermarkets to realize the importance of, advantages of business intelligence technology. The conclusion is mainly derived from considering the combination of collected data, primary data, and literature review. The future recommendations are made accordingly by considering the developed knowledge.
